"El pollo loco is my to go place when I want something good and quick, this was my first time in this location and I have to say it is good, people working here are friendly and helpful, prices are good, and my food was good as well, a little cold but besides that everything was fine, convinient location close to different stores."

"I had the most amazing experience at my visit to this restaurant today. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a “Welcome to El Pollo Loco,” to a warm welcome and smiles which happened from the moment I arrived, to the moment I left. The food was superb as it was incredibly fresh to the point where the meat just came off the bones so easily. I have been to numerous El Pollo Locos, but I have never experienced so much freshness in the food, the tortillas, the sides, and the salsas. There’s also another special feature that this wonderful restaurant offers that others do not, and that is that your food and salsas are actually served at your table. I took the time to speak to the Manager, “Jose,” and congratulated and commended him for doing such an amazing job, with the management of the restaurant, as it was very clean, the music was great, the crew, and the incredible freshness of the food, where the meat was not dry, but fresh and juicy, and how you are made to feel very welcome upon entering, and during the duration of your visit at the restaurant! I live in the East County, and I will drive the distance to go to this restaurant in Lemon Grove at all times as opposed to the ones closest to me where I have been nothing but disappointed! I highly recommend that everyone go to this restaurant for an amazing experience of the treatment you will receive while being there, and for the amazing freshness of all of their food! You can’t go wrong!"

"This is the only location I come to when I'm in San Diego. The chicken is seasoned well, flame broiled and the kids love how they can build their own tacos. Tried the birria quesadillas, not bad for a chain restaurant but I've definitely had better. Feeling satisfied..."

"Ordered food TO GO. Was given it to eat THERE. Especially disappointing cuz cashier gave me a LOOK as if I'd made the mistake. Food was OK. Chicken pcs are soooooo SMALL. Temperature med warm. Salsa, both green & red tomato are STILL delicious. Glad used a coupon. MAY go back cuz is so close to residence."

"It's a very big place sadly they don't accept EBT they don't have a dine-in but they have takeout and drive-thru due to the pandemic. I love their variety of choices of combos absolutely love churros. They speak English and Spanish so for those of you who use their family members to speak for them don't worry there super friendly and super helpful so don't be bashful."

"The chicken is sometimes on the small side (many restaurants have the same issue these days), but the flavor is really good. We also had a situation where our order couldn't be fulfilled properly one night, but the staff did what they could to accommodate as much as possible, and gave us a discount for a future visit. They were really helpful, and I greatly appreciate how much Susan made sure we were satisfied. Thanks for the amazing customer service, and the really delicious food!"
